Engineering Center

The Jiangsu Province (Kaopule) New Environmentally Friendly Functional Coating Engineering Technology Research and Development Center was approved for construction by the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Science and Technology in June 2012. It was successfully established based on cooperation among Jiangsu Kaopule New Material Co., Ltd., Beijing University of Chemical Technology Changzhou New Material Chemical Research Institute, and others. The R&D center's headquarters is located within the factory of Jiangsu Kaopule New Material Co., Ltd., with 48 full-time and part-time technical staff (including senior technical personnel from cooperative units), of which 30% hold senior professional titles. The total value of scientific research instruments, equipment, and facilities exceeds 8 million yuan. Nearly 20 provincial and municipal scientific research projects have been undertaken, with 21 national patents (including 13 invention patents) and one district-level scientific and technological progress award.

The R&D center mainly engages in product and engineering research in the fields of nanomaterial synthesis, photoelectrochemical functional fillers, functional coatings, and environmentally friendly coatings. The center currently has four departments: Basic Research Department, Functional Material Application Research Department, Testing Department, and Pilot Plant, equipped with the basic conditions for project research and achievement transformation. It undertakes engineering technology research, testing, and complete technical services commissioned by relevant departments of the company, enterprises, and research institutes, and provides consulting for the promotion of their achievements. Through construction activities, it cultivates and gathers high-level engineering and management talents in related fields, providing engineering talent training for local enterprises and industries. The engineering center will carry out various forms of domestic and international cooperation and exchanges to promote technological development in the industry and field.

Under the guidance of the Provincial Department of Science and Technology, the R&D center continues to improve infrastructure and scientific research platform construction. Under the guidance of the Management Committee and Technical Committee, the center operates daily under a director responsibility system, with project leaders responsible for project operation and market-oriented operation methods. A research team led by senior engineers with high academic levels and R&D capabilities has been formed to develop high-tech products in nanomaterial synthesis, photoelectrochemical functional fillers, functional coatings, and environmentally friendly coatings. The center has established a production, learning, and research technology cooperation alliance with enterprises such as Beijing University of Chemical Technology Changzhou New Material Chemical Research Institute to achieve resource sharing and complementary advantages.
